March is Women's History Month, when we honor women such as Mary Katherine
Goddard, the newspaper publisher who printed the first signed copy of the
Declaration of Independence; Sarah Winnemucca, Paiute chief, lobbyist, and
writer; and Rachel Carson, whose 1962 book The Silent Spring
launched the modern environmental movement. Today, women gather
to honor their personal histories while supporting each other through
challenges and transitions. Pictured is 24th Street psychotherapist
Arlene Dumas, who hosts groups for midlife women, including
Kathe Sprouse, Libby Smith, Arete Nicholas, Arlene, and Elyse Robin.
