It's time for the Voice editors and contributors to put their computers in sleep mode and compose "out of the office" memos for their e-mail. The beach beckons, even to those of us with faces beyond pale, and legs, well, let's not go there. But don't worry--we'll cover up and slather what gets exposed with sunblock. And if the water's fine, we won't be back until August.
This means that you may as well take the month of July off, too. Read this issue at a leisurely pace and don't even think about contacting us until after Aug. 1. Then you'll likely be bronzed and refreshed yourself and better able to send us your submissions to arrive by Aug. 15. We'll transform them into pieces of journalistic beauty and mix them into our September 2003 issue, due to hit the street the first week of September. It's a deal then. Let's summer.
