On April 14, 25th Street resident Barbara Abbot (left) and 24th Street resident Mike Bolos (center) were among those braving the wet weather to help plant about 130 trees in Noe Valley. This one, on Sanchez near 24th, was a replacement for one of several new trees destroyed by vandals in February. The tree-planting is a project of the Noe Valley Association, 24th Street's community benefit district.
