Ingredients

1 roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough

1 small bag bite-size Milky Way or Snickers candy bars

1 small bag chocolate almond kisses

1 small jar maraschino cherries

About a dozen shelled walnut pieces

Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Slice the dough 1/8-inch thick and cut each slice in half. Make sandwiches, putting a chocolate almond kiss or half a bite-size candy bar in the middle. Press the edges of the top and bottom dough together to seal the candy inside. Place half a maraschino cherry or a piece of walnut on top of each cookie.

Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes until the cookies are golden brown (check at 7 minutes, and every minute thereafter, because oven temperatures vary). Remove the cookies from the oven and cool for 20 minutes before removing from the cookie sheet. Makes about 21/2 dozen cookies.
